The driver appears to have escaped relatively unhurt but the crash caused serious travel problems for most of Friday.

The Seattle-Tacoma International Airport says a Japan Airlines aircraft appears to have hit the tail of a parked Delta plane Wednesday morning. Jair Montero-Moran of Carteret was allegedly traveling 69 mph in a 25 mph zone before crashing head-on with a car driven by Cristina Flores.

Commuters and travelers in the northwest of England were hit with major travel disruption Friday after a car plunged from a bridge onto the main rail line between Manchester and Liverpool, one of the country's busiest.

Travellers are being advised to plan ahead and check before setting out on one of north-west England's key train lines.

Footage shows the aftermath following a car crash on Regent Road in Salford, where a car crashed and landed on the railway track underneath a pedestrian walkway. The car was left completely upside down with car parts thrown across the tracks.
