A little over a year ago, during the final week of January 2024, Eagles general manager Howie Roseman and head coach Nick Sirianni sat together on stage at the NovaCare Complex. It wasn’t just a painful occasion.

There was a time before everything was automated, when general managers still mapped out their models and moves using physical materials, when Howie Roseman arranged the personnel of the NFL’s top-four teams inside his office in an obsessive collage.

That spring, Roseman drafted defensive tackle Jordan Davis in the first round, center Cam Jurgens in the second and linebacker Nakobe Dean in the third. That same weekend, Roseman traded for wide receiver A.J. Brown, to be followed in August with a trade for safety Chauncey Gardner-Johnson.
