Israel claimed it had killed top Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar as multiple conflicts involving Iran-backed militant groups heated up.

The US carried out a round of strikes in Yemen against the Iran-backed Houthis on Wednesday evening, according to three US defense officials, targeting weapons storage facilities, including underground facilities.

The United States has struck Houthi weapons sites in Yemen for the first time using B-2 stealth bombers. The warplanes targeted five underground storage sites in the strikes, Lloyd Austin, the US defence secretary, said late on Wednesday.
