NASCAR loses Xfinity 'series' while gaining Xfinity 'fastest lap'
NASCAR's second-tier series has been known as the Xfinity Series for a decade. After this year, that series will take on a new label.
NASCAR: Xfinity to end sponsorship of second-tier series after 2025 season
Xfinity has been the sponsor of the series since 2014, but will vacate that sponsorship at the end of the 2025 season according to multiple reports. Xfinity had signed a 10-year deal to be the title sponsor beginning in 2015, and NASCAR announced Tuesday that Xfinity had signed a one-year extension for the 2025 season.

NASCAR competition officials announced Monday that drivers who record the fastest lap in every points-paying race — the Xfinity Fastest Lap — will earn one additional bonus point in both the driver and owner standings.
