Swedish police said they were still investigating the motive behind the country's deadliest mass shooting, as local media began reporting details about the gunman. The suspect, named in reports as 35-year-old local man Rickard Andersson,

The king and queen visited the scene of the tragic event that occurred on Tuesday and Swedish flags were flown at half-mast to honor the victims.

The authorities said that at least 11 people were killed and that the suspect was believed to be among the dead.

"It is a very painful day for all of Sweden," Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson said in a statement posted on social media.
