A Tesco lorry has erupted into a massive fireball at Clacket Lane services on the M25 leading to the closure of the motorway in both directions and huge queues.

Motorists are facing lengthy delays on sections of the M25 and M26 after a Tesco lorry burst into flames following a crash. Dashcam footage showed fire engulfing the lorry and a plume of smoke rising into the sky.

Closures on the M25 and M26 due to a lorry fire are likely to last until midday, road users have been warned. The M25 is closed clockwise between J5 near Sevenoaks and J6 near Godstone/Caterham, according to Highways England.

The M25 is partly closed between Surrey and Kent following a lorry burst into flames. The blaze broke out between junction 5 and junction 6 at around 10pm on Sunday, between Sevenoaks and Godstone. All clockwise lanes are closed,
