University is the first known high school in Central Florida to have suffered stadium damage from Hurricane Milton

Hurricane Milton is causing schools, government agencies and businesses across Central Florida to decide whether to close or remain open during the storm.

One week after Hurricane Milton hit, Hillsborough County schools are set to be the final ones in Florida to resume classes. Hillsborough officials had looked into to reopen sooner, but persistent power outages in some locations kept the district from getting back on track.
