Authorities are searching for a suspect who escaped with over $30,000 from an Orange County bank. On Oct. 17, deputies responded to reports of an armed suspect at a Chase bank near Portola and Bake Parkways in Lake Forest at around noontime.

With the assistance of a drone search, one of the suspects, aged 42 years old, was found hiding in the bush and was successfully arrested at approximately 6pm,’’ said Ehlers.

A bank robber who opened fire on a teller at a Chase bank in Lake Forest and took off with $31,000 is still at large two days after the heist, according to the Orange County Sheriff's Office.
