Mistral is still positioning itself as a viable alternative to OpenAI's signature chatbot ChatGPT and to DeepSeek.

Mistral AI launches mobile apps for 'Le Chat' chatbot French artificial intelligence (AI) developer Mistral AI on Thursday launched iOS and Android apps for its "Le Chat" chatbot, apparently taking a page from Chinese contender DeepSeek's book.

For those unfamiliar, Mistral’s Le Chat competes with other AI chatbots such as OpenAI’s ChatGPT. As noted by TechCrunch, Mistral has its own language models such as Mistral Large and Pixtral Large, which are also available for commercial use via an API.
