The U. S. Postal Service said Wednesday that it will continue to accept international mail and packages from China and Hong Kong, reversing a Tuesday announcement that it would halt the flow of inbound parcels from the areas.

As part of new tariffs on Chinese imports, President Donald Trump eliminated an exemption for small packages, vastly increasing the amount of parcels US Customs and Border Protection needs to inspect.

The U.S. Postal Service reversed course Wednesday, saying it would continue to accept all inbound mail and packages from China and Hong Kong.
