The embattled Diamond Sports Group announced a new gambling-related partnership for its local broadcasts of NBA, MLB, NHL games.

The Diamond Sports Group, which is going through bankruptcy proceedings, and FanDuel Group made the announcement Friday, with the name change set to take place Monday. Diamond's channels had been Bally Sports since opening day of Major League Baseball's 2021 season, which was April 1 that year.

Bally Sports Detroit, the broadcast home for three of Detroit’s professional teams (the Tigers, Red Wings and Pistons), is being rebranded as FanDuel Sports Detroit Network. Diamond Sports Group, Bally’s parent company, FanDuel, the online gaming company, on Friday announced an agreement on a broad, long-term commercial partnership.

Bally Sports Wisconsin' is no more, with a name change coming this month to the network that airs Milwaukee Bucks games.

Amid Diamond Sports Group’s bankruptcy proceedings, FanDuel made the announcement that the name of the channels will change on October 21.

As of October 21, the name of the network we currently know as Bally Sports will cease to exist, as Diamond Sports Group sold the naming rights to FanDuel to become FanDuel Sports Network. As of now,

Diamond Sports Group, the parent company of Bally Sports Wisconsin, said Friday it has entered into a naming-rights agreement with online gambling company FanDuel. The deal, for which financial terms weren’t disclosed, gives New York-based FanDuel naming rights to Diamond Sports’ 16 regional sports networks.
