A Slidell woman has been arrested on fraud and theft charges, according to Kenner police. She is accused of using the credit cards of an out of town reporter who was found dead in a hotel room.

NEW ORLEANS – An arrest has been made after a Kansas City reporter covering the Super Bowl in New Orleans was found dead in his hotel room, police said on Feb 7. Mr Adan Manzano, 27, was found unresponsive in Kenner, Louisiana, just outside New Orleans, leading to the arrest of Ms Danette Colbert, police said.

Police say 48-year-old Danette Colbert was arrested in New Orleans and is, for now, only facing fraud and theft charges.
