The BJP took quick lead in early trends and crossed majority mark of 36 shortly after Election Commission began counting of votes at 8 am. AAP's leads were fluctuating, however, the party slightly narrowed gap against BJP and was ahead in 28 seats at 10:20 am.

Delhi went to vote on February 5 with the voter turnout of 60.54 percent, the lowest it has recorded in 15 years. While certain exit polls predicted a sweep for BJP, a close contest between Arvind Kejriwal-led party and BJP was expected.
