Jess Kendall and four friends were just two blocks from the United Center, where they planned to attend the Lil Durk concert, when they were robbed and attacked at gunpoint on Sunday evening, according to Chicago police.

Family members are mourning the death of an 18-year-old from Elgin who was shot Sunday night near the United Center before a Lil Durk concert at the venue.

Jess Kendall's older brother told ABC7 that the 18-year-old and his girlfriend were headed to the concert when they were robbed at gunpoint.
