Banijay Asia and Disney+ Hotstar are adapting NBCUniversal's hit 'Monk' for India, ANT1 TV will adapt Brit hit 'Doctor Foster' for Greece.

The show, which is currently in production and will stream exclusively on Disney+ Hotstar and Hulu, marks the first Asian adaptation of Monk that ran from 2002 to 2009 on American network USA.

Disney+ Hotstar has announced the Indian remake of the popular US drama series, Monk. This will be the first South Asian adaptation of the show, which revolves around a detective with obsessive-compulsive disorder named Adrian Monk (Tony Shalhoub).

This adaptation marks the first Asian version of the iconic detective series, which originally aired on the USA Network in the U.S. and centers on Adrian Monk, a detective with obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) working with the San Francisco Police Department to solve unusual cases while grappling with his wife's unsolved murder.
