Tropical Storm Nadine weakened into a tropical depression on Saturday night after making landfall near Belize City, Belize, in the morning. It had formed about 12 hours earlier in the northwestern Caribbean Sea late on Friday.

Off the coast of Belize, Nadine emerged; and southeast of the Bahamas, Oscar formed hours later on Saturday. Neither posed a threat to Texas.

The storm system is expected to dump four to eight inches (102 mm to 204 mm) of rain through Belize, Guatemala and Mexico, according to the NHC, with some isolated areas expected
