A California man has been charged with drugging and sexually assaulting nine women over the course of three years, including one woman who died from the drugs, prosecutors said Friday.

A California man drugged and raped nine women, including one who died from an overdose, authorities said. Michel DiGiorgio, 50, now faces one count of murder, three counts of rape by use of drugs and a host of other sexual-based charges in connection to the case. The Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office announced the charges on Friday.
