One of the WNBA’s best players is on the move, as Alyssa Thomas is headed to Phoenix in the second big trade of the week.

The Phoenix Mercury today announced the acquisitions of All-WNBA First Team forwards Satou Sabally and Alyssa Thomas, along with veteran center Kalani Brown and guard Sevgi Uzun as part of a four-team trade with the Connecticut Sun,

The Connecticut Sun are reportedly sending 5-time All-Star Alyssa Thomas to the Phoenix Mercury in a sign-and-trade deal after 11 seasons.

For as long as most WNBA fans can remember, the Phoenix Mercury have had two spots in their starting lineup solidifed year after year. Now things are changing.

The Phoenix Mercury are finalizing a trade to acquire five-time All-Star Alyssa Thomas from the Connecticut Sun, ESPN's Alexa Philippou reports. Natasha Cloud, Rebecca Allen and the No. 12 pick in the draft will go to Connecticut, while Ty Harris will join Thomas in Phoenix, per Philippou.

Former Oregon basketball star Satou Sabally is heading to the Phoenix Mercury as part of a three-team trade, a person familiar with the deal told The Associated Press. The person spoke on condition of anonymity because the deal hadn’t been announced.
