The embattled Diamond Sports Group announced a new gambling-related partnership for its local broadcasts of NBA, MLB, NHL games.

Amid Diamond Sports Group’s bankruptcy proceedings, FanDuel made the announcement that the name of the channels will change on October 21.

Bally Sports Detroit, the broadcast home for three of Detroit’s professional teams (the Tigers, Red Wings and Pistons), is being rebranded as FanDuel Sports Detroit Network. Diamond Sports Group, Bally’s parent company, FanDuel, the online gaming company, on Friday announced an agreement on a broad, long-term commercial partnership.

A question of MLB’s future with Diamond came up Friday morning in a last-minute hearing when Diamond requested approval for its new multi-year naming rights deal with FanDuel, which begins Oct. 21 and replaces the Bally branding that Diamond channels currently have.

Diamond's channels had been Bally Sports since baseball's Opening Day in 2021. The name change will take place Monday.
