"February is kicking off with a very stormy pattern," AccuWeather meteorologist Bernie Rayno said. "A parade of three winter storms will bring snow, ice and sleet to millions of people from the Midwest through the Northeast.”

Winter weather advisories for all 21 counties are in effect with ice and up to 3 inches of snow possible in spots.

Forecasts anticipate that an ice storm will hit the Midwest and Northeast by mid-week, with at least six states expecting a high chance of impacts. Widespread freezing rain is expected to bring impacts from the Midwest to the Mid-Atlantic beginning on Wednesday.
