OpenAI's CEO Sam Altman met with India's IT Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw to discuss India's AI strategy. Altman clarified previous comments about the high costs of AI development and expressed willingness to collaborate with India on building its AI stack.

Vaishnaw outlined India’s AI-driven initiatives spanning healthcare, education, agriculture, weather forecasting, disaster management and transportation.
