Prospect Medical Holdings, the parent company of Crozer Health in Delaware County, filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy​ last month.

Crozer Health will receive $20 million in government funding to keep Crozer-Chester Medical Center and Taylor Hospital open for at least 30 days under a plan approved Thursday by a bankruptcy judge in Texas.

Pennsylvania Attorney General Dave Sunday and Prospect Medical Holdings have reached an agreement to be considered today in a Texas federal court on a receiver to oversee Crozer Health for a month.

Under the agreement between the Pennsylvania attorney general and Prospect Medical Holdings, a temporary manager will take charge of Crozer-Chester Medical Center in Upland and Taylor Hospital in Ridley Park. A bankruptcy judge in Texas signed off on the deal.
