The Phoenix Mercury today announced the acquisitions of All-WNBA First Team forwards Satou Sabally and Alyssa Thomas, along with veteran center Kalani Brown and guard Sevgi Uzun as part of a four-team trade with the Connecticut Sun,

Former Oregon basketball star Satou Sabally is heading to the Phoenix Mercury as part of a three-team trade, a person familiar with the deal told The Associated Press. The person spoke on condition of anonymity because the deal hadn’t been announced.

Thomas is a five-time All-Star, three-time All-WNBA pick, has six WNBA all-defensive team selections, and is the league's all-time leader in triple-doubles with 11 in the regular season and four in the postseason. She was also a member of Team USA's gold medal-winning squad at the 2024 Summer Olympics.

Sabally spent her entire five-season career with the Wings after the franchise selected her with the No. 2 pick in the 2020 WNBA Draft.

Longtime Connecticut Sun star Alyssa Thomas has reportedly agreed to a sign-and-trade that will send her to Phoenix.
