A woman was killed and a man is hospitalized after their vehicle rolled several times and struck a tree in Blue Island overnight, police said.

BLUE ISLAND, Ill. – A woman has died and a man was seriously injured after a crash Friday night in Blue Island. Blue Island police said just after 10:30 p.m., officers were sent to the 2300 block of Vermont Street to investigate reports of a single-vehicle crash.

The woman, 65, was crossing the street in the 13500 block of South Avenue O at 3:46 p.m. when a man in a vehicle hit her, police said. The driver was cited.

A 91-year-old woman was killed in a car crash Saturday afternoon at the intersection of Game Farm Road and Orchard Hill Road. The woman was a passenger in a car pulling onto Orchard Hill Road when it was struck by another vehicle.

A woman was left injured following a single-vehicle crash in Coventry. It happened on Sky Blue Way. Medics rushed to the scene at around 6pm on Friday (October 18). Police are also said to have attended and blocked off part of Sky Blue Way.
