A community in Chicago's northwest suburbs on Monday was grieving the loss of a teen killed the night before while on his way to a show at the United Center.The 18-year-old was among three people shot during a violent robbery when they were approached outside the venue.

The 18-year-old victim has died after the attack, which happened minutes before the Lil Durk concert at United Center. Two others, a 19-year-old man and a 15-year-old boy were hospitalized.

Three teens were shot and wounded just steps from the United Center on the Near West Side Sunday evening. At 6:56 p.m., the victims were struck by gunfire in the 100 block of North Wolcott Avenue, near Maypole Avenue,

Police are investigating the Sunday shooting, which happened minutes before the start of a Lil Durk concert near a United Center parking lot.

The 18-year-old, identified as Jess Kendall, was standing in the 100 block of North Wollcott Avenue with three friends when four offenders approached them, demanding their belongings.
