The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has won or is leading in 47 seats in the 70-member legislative assembly, while the incumbent Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) is ahead in 23 seats, according to data from the Election Commission of India (EC).

The AAP has registered a steep fall from their 2020 assembly election performance, when they won 62 out of 70 seats.

BJP gained support in three of Delhi's five riot-hit constituencies, with Mohan Singh Bisht, Kapil Mishra, and Ajay Mahawar recording wins in Mustafabad, Karawal Nagar, and Ghonda, respectively. AAP maintained control over Seelampur and Gokalpur.

Modi’s Bharatiya Janata Party was projected to win a majority in the 70-member assembly of India's capital against the Aam Aadmi Party, or AAP, led by Arvind Kejriwal, which runs New Delhi and has built widespread support with its welfare policies and anti-corruption movement.

Arvind Kejriwal congratulated the BJP on their victory and expressed hope that they would fulfill all the promises that earned them the people's votes.
