A federal judge said Wednesday said was inclined to issue a temporary injunction prohibiting entities outside the Treasury Department -- including Elon Musk's Department of Government Efficiency -- from accessing sensitive taxpayer records from the Bureau of the Fiscal Service.

The final vote tally was 19-20, causing the motion to fail, and Rep. Ro Khanna, a Democrat from California was notably absent. X users claimed that Khanna had “abstained” from the vote, which wasn’t accurate and the congressman cleared things up in a tweet.
