The Final Reckoning, the long-running spy franchise might actually say goodbye to it central action hero. In fact, the title of the film may indicate that one character, Tom Cruise's Ethan Hunt, may not make it out alive.

Tom Cruise once again showed off his impressive stunt skills in some newly released behind-the-scenes footage of "Mission: Impossible - The Final Reckoning." In the clip he shared to X on Friday, the 62-year-old actor can be seen hanging from a plane that's flying upside-down.

That's not a clear answer either way, then, but it certainly sounds like this could be Cruise's final time in the Mission: Impossible franchise. "Final" is very final, after all.
