Batman: Arkham Shadow is a game that may have passed under your radar. Released this week for Meta Quest 3 and Meta Quest 3S (see our pick of the best VR headsets), it's the second virtual reality game in the Batman: Arkham series and a sequel to Batman: Arkham Origins.

Picking up a few years after the events of Arkham Origins, Batman has come into his own as the protector of Gotham but as a new Cult of the Rat King threatens to send the city into chaos with their ‘Day of Wrath’ the Dark Knight is on a race against the clock to thwart their scheme or risk losing his city.

The Meta Quest 3S was announced last month, and Meta also announced that it is dropping the 128GB version of the Meta Quest 3 and dropping the price of the 512GB version permanently. Both versions of the system now come with Batman: Arkham Shadow for free ($75 value) which is out today and the 128GB version has also been discounted until its sold out at $719 whilst the 512GB version now has a permanent price of $799 which is $250 off

Batman: Arkham Shadow has a pretty epic cast for a VR game. The most important member is Roger Craig Smith, who plays Batman. He’s taken on that character many times before, including in Arkham: Origins.
