Judge Wayne Culver was accused of cursing at defendants in court and threatening to put people in jail without following the proper process.

Sarcastic, undignified, and unprofessional, that is how the Judicial Qualifications Commission described a Seminole County judge after a video surfaced showing Judge Wayne Curver swearing at a defendant who was also acting out. He also unlawfully sentenced a man to a year and a half in jail for contempt weeks earlier.

The Florida Supreme Court this week publicly scolded a Seminole County judge for unleashing a series of angry outbursts three years ago when he loudly cursed at defendants, scolded a woman in the courtroom’s gallery and sentenced a man to nearly six months in jail for contempt.
