The HAWK is a state university in Lower Saxony with more than 6,000 students. The university is regionally anchored and maintains excellent networks throughout Germany and the world. Its roots, which date back to the 19th century in Holzminden, for example, are where it all started.

The HAWK University of Applied Sciences and Arts offers almost 50 study programmes at three locations: Hildesheim, Holzminden and Göttingen. Their content, practical relevance and teaching methods have been designed to meet both current and future expectations in the respective professional fields.

Everything in this study programme revolves around the more in-depth examination of concepts and theories of social work. We want to train our students in the research, analysis and evaluation of social work and in doing so sharpen their sense for the critical reflection of professional practice and their own experiences in this field.

In the project-based degree programme, you will benefit from the expertise of 2 proven universities: HAWK in Göttingen and the Hannover University of Applied Sciences and Arts. You study in small semester groups of 20 and receive personal support from the lecturers.
