The Story So Far: Where NIC Stands In Its Accreditation Crisis
Published on January 24, 2024. NIC has entered its final stretch in the fight to maintain its accreditation. As deadlines draw closer and tensions escalate, there remains uncertainty as to the fate of the school. Many are wondering what the plan of action is from here, still others are left wondering how NIC got to this point in the first place.

Mar 25, 2022 · Community, faculty, and staff voice their concerns about board leadership and the accreditation of the college. During the Wednesday meeting’s time for public comment, multiple groups called for the resignation of Chairman Todd Banducci, while others rallied behind him. NIC graduate and former ASNIC president, Christa Hazel, called for him to resign.

Nov 1, 2021 · NIC Student Ciera Platt organized the “March for MacLennan,” a protest hoping to bring light to previous NIC president Dr. Rick MacLennan’s unreasonable termination. It also protested actions made by the Board of Trustees that have put NIC’s accreditation on the line.
