October 18, 2024. I thought I had better start making up the Kogin coasters and then found a bundle of slightly smaller ones that I had put aside. I decided that I could make them up square shaped and bring the backing fabric to the front but would have to mitre the corners. Now, hemp fabric works completely differently to cotton or linen.

Aug 29, 2024 · There have been made to fit a full size dinner plate and I used this project to learn how to machine quilt straight line patterns. Each one consists of a front and back piece, so 12 different patterns and lots of thread used. I used the same fabric for the back of each piece and three different fabrics for the front.

Sep 23, 2024 · Finishing the place mats. September 23, 2024. The binding of the place mats is not my favourite task but it has to be done. I had a false start when I thought I would use an orange binding, it was horrible. So, I unpicked it and have settled for a dark blue. I have stitched a different quilting pattern on each one.
